DTR800-R: the inspection rewinder for recovering previously processed rolls
The “Doctor Machine” DTR800-R is an inspection rewinder designed to recover previously processed rolls that do not meet the technical requirements specified by the customer.
It is a machine specifically intended to handle rolls with alignment, tension, or winding quality issues, making it possible to restore the product and reduce waste.
The system is suitable for processing plastic films, printed paper, coated paper, metallized materials, and laminates.
The features of the inspection rewinder and its customizations
Among the standard features are the winding-unwinding unit with an expanding shaft for 3″ cores, automatic tension control, and a semi-automatic film splicing table. The machine is equipped with high-efficiency A.C. motors with digital vector inverters, ensuring excellent material tension control, reduced energy consumption, and a maximum operating speed of up to 500 m/min.
Rewinding can be carried out both clockwise and counterclockwise. Among the available options are the web guiding system with a bidirectional pivoting carriage, provided for the DTR 800-R version, and the trim slitting unit for the unidirectional version.
This DTR800-R has a width of 1,100 mm, with a usable width of 1,000 mm, and has been configured to unwind and rewind rolls with a diameter of up to 900 mm. Compared with the standard DTR version, designed for 800 mm rolls, this machine was customized to meet the customer’s specific requirements.
In addition, the customer chose to further equip the machine with provision for trim extraction, an antistatic bar, and a manual material locking system.
